Effective from 01 April 2020

All children are encouraged to attend The Garden Early Childhood Centre for a minimum of two sessions per week. This helps the children settle and feel comfortable and confident in their new environment.

In New Zealand all children aged three to five are entitled to receive Early Childhood Education for six hours a day, 20 hours a week at no charge.

Standard Hourly Rate

For bookings that don’t fit within a school day or full day.

School Day

Six hour day anytime between 8.00am and 3.30pm

Full Day

Nine plus(9+) hours a day.

Fees For Children Under 3 Years

Hourly....................$7.00

School Day...........$40.00, Maximum $180.00

Full Day (9+hrs)....$60.00, Maximum $225.00

Fees For Children Over 3 Years, Using 20 ECE Hours

Hourly...................Free up to 20 hours, maximum of 6 hours per day, then $7.00 per hour.

School Day..........3 Days Free(up to 6 hours a day)

Full Day (9+hrs)....Varied, Maximum $175.00

  • Morning and afternoon tea provided, and a late snack after 4.30pm.

  • We provide cloth nappies for the children while at The Garden. You can opt out if you prefer.

  • A late fee may be charged if children are collected outside of their booked hours.

  • Fees will be invoiced weekly and need to be kept one week in advance.

  • If your child is going to be absent please phone The Garden. Normal fees apply.

  • Annual leave of four weeks per year (equivalent of booked hours) will be charged at 50% of your normal fee. Annual leave must be advised in writing and given a minimum of two weeks notice, otherwise full fees will apply.

  • Payments can be made by either cash or our preferred method of automatic payments.

  • A family discount may apply.

  • WINZ subsidies may apply.

  • Two weeks written notice is required if your child is leaving.
